Mr Rod HillmanPRESIDENT
Rod is a local resident of 4017. Rod leads a Non-Profit Organisation focusing on ecotourism and environmental awareness across Australia and New Zealand. Rod’s skills and experience include governance, not for profit management and business development. Rod provides leadership to the Board, and invaluable strategic advice for SANDBAG.
Paul ChesherVICE PRESIDENT
Paul is an experienced business development and organisational resources expert. Paul lives in 4017 and has operated a successful management consultancy for more than 35 years. Paul’s contributes to the development of SANDBAG’s organisational capabilities.
Tegan is a local community member. She has a strong financial and business management background working for large businesses and not for profit organisations. Tegan’s skills and experience in overseeing the financial stability of SANDBAG are crucial.
Debbie is a local resident and understands the organisation well as, several years ago, Deb was an employee of SANDBAG. Deb also has qualifications in Business Management and experience in the State Government’s Skilling Queenslanders for Work initiative, a key plank of SANDBAG’s Skills and Employment activities.
Tracey JacksonGENERAL MEMBER
Tracey is an experienced legal professional and local resident of 4017. Tracey has worked in various roles within Queensland Government community, natural resources and consumer-oriented departments as well as large corporations. The SANDBAG board benefits from Tracey’s legal knowledge.
Ian DanielsGENERAL MEMBER
Ian Daniels is an experienced Board Member who sits on the the Board of a number of non-profit organisations and is an active contributor to numerous community organisations. Ian has qualifications in Governance and is a member of the Australian Society of CPAs, as well as being an avid sportsman.
Clinton RobertsGENERAL MEMBER
Clinton is a local 4017 resident and an experienced project manager in construction. Clinton works for a south east council and uses his skills to deliver successful project outcomes for residents. Clinton’s experience in project management will assist SandBag in future planning requirements.
Christopher SimpsonGENERAL MEMBER
Christopher Simpson has many years’ experience in construction and corporate Project Management, as well as qualifications in Project Management, Building, Training & Assessment, and Business Administration. Chris was elected to the SANDBAG Management Committtee at our 2020 Annual General Meeting and leads our Building Sub-committee.

Philip Brookes joined SANDBAG Inc in July 2019, bringing with him a broad range of leadership, management, technical, and marketing business skills and experience gained over almost three decades in the commercial and non-profit sectors. He is excited to enhance our efficiency, financial stability, and revenue streams that support the great services we deliver for our community.
Kylie HeenanCOUNSELLING SERVICES MANAGER
Kylie Heenan manages SANDBAG’s Domestic and Family Violence Program. Her compassion, dedication, humour, and leadership ensure that our Domestic Violence and Family Counselling program provides a safe place for those dealing with the effects of domestic violence.
