NDIS
The National Disability Insurance Scheme is coming and it will change the lives of not only people with a disability and their carers and families but will also have a long term impact on the broader community.
The NDIS is an exciting new support system designed to empower people living with disability and their families through individualised funding. Through a personalised NDIS package, you will have greater access to tailored resources that will help you live an enriched life and achieve your personal goals. You choose the services you want, and who you want to provide them.
NDIS service provider
SANDBAG Inc. is an NDIS service provider, meaning you can choose SANDBAG to support your transition to and services through your NDIS package. Through individual packages, people will have more choice, independence and opportunity than ever before, and will benefit from tailored services that meet their individual requirements.
An individual’s NDIS funding is to be used to provide ‘reasonable and necessary supports’ which quite simply means the services, activities and equipment you need to achieve your goals and live the best life you can as independently as you can. These supports are determined by the NDIS, and will be reviewed based on your personal goals when you are planning your package.
